Mount Ophir @ 12:06 AM

Final training trip before Tahan: Mount Ophir

It was quite a "screwed up" trip for me personally. Don't get me wrong, nothing to do with the organisers or the adminstration. The trip was screwed up in a funny way for myself. It all started after crossing over to the Malaysian Custom.

Scenerio 1:
I was writing my white card with my faulty pen at the custom counter when my pen suddenly shot out right across the face of 2 malaysian custom officers. They were stunned for awhile before "Your pen?" Super malu. (>.<) Gotta stretch and take the pieces of my pen and fix back while a few tourists were looking at me!

Scenerio 2: After getting "chopped" at the immigration counter, we proceed to the bus station. While walking out of the custom, we walk past this scanner machine used to scanner bags for illegal items. Usually i wont bother to walk there to put my bag through the scanner and the malaysian police officer don't enforce it anyway. ZK was standing on my left. So i turned to him and then laughed at the police officer standing at the scanning machine. Had wanted to say: "See! The malaysian custom so slack. We no need go there scan bag de." Before i could tell ZK why im laughing, i was called over by the policeman to scan my bag!

Scenerio 3: After dinner at gunung ledang resort, I order fries and chinese tea while me, Rj, moo and bob are playing bridge. As i empty the last bit of the chinese tea from the pot into my cup, shufen came along. The chinese tea by now tasted quite bitter and thick. Shufen took a sip and randomly commented: "Hmmm, the chinese tea is just like your life." WTH!!!! GRRRRRRR...But its somehow true la. Haha...and that night i didn't sleep much, not because of her comments but rather the high caffeine level in me after finishing the chinese tea! Bitter life indeed....

Scenerio 4: The most sian part of all. It hasn't rain for quite a few days according to the locals. We start our trek up for 1.5hrs when heavy downpour and strong gust of wind force us to turn our backs on the mountain. This is the first time I had to do so. Mixed emotion. Happy because i dont have to tire myself out! haha.. Disappointed because we don't get to scale the mountain.

BUT BUT BUT nothing can go wrong with dinner at secret recipe!

Chicken Cordon Bleu

Chocolate strawberry cake

Yummy Yummy!

That sums up the Mount Ophir trip.
